A Damage Prevention Manager (DPM) is responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective damage prevention program in a geographic section of Texas in conjunction with local facility owner/operators and excavators. A DPM administers Texas811 education funds as available in their geographic region to support local activities that promote damage prevention and oversees all aspects of the Texas811 damage prevention outreach program in their area of responsibility. This particular position is for the geographic region of DFW & East Texas.
Travel • Texas811’s office is located in Dallas, TX; however, this job’s main requirements are in North and East Texas • This position requires the ability to conduct business travel as needed; which may include frequent travel outside the local area and overnight. Eligibility Requirements • 3-5 years’ experience in utility management and/or damage prevention activities (regulatory, locating, utility operations, etc.) • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills • Knowledge of utility operation/damage prevention • Proven record in increasing awareness of facilities and hazards of 3rd party damage • Must be willing to relocate to assigned geographic region • Any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
